  • Yes, it's a balanced approach! We each have our strengths and when we work together the client gets the best results. OUR ROLE as interior designers during a renovation project involves space planning, layout, and sourcing all materials & finishes.

    This includes selecting cabinets, countertops, hardware, backsplash, trim, appliances, plumbing fixtures, paint colors, flooring, window & door styles, lighting, and window treatments just to name a few.

    The BUILDER or GENERAL CONTRACTOR is responsible for estimating the cost of the work, obtaining necessary permits, hiring subcontractors, demo, construction, managing the budget, timeline, and quality control.

  • Our fixed design fee, also known as a flat fee, is a predetermined amount that covers the cost of our design service based on your specific scope of work.

    It includes recommendations for space planning, layout, design concepts, renderings and mood boards. In addition, our design fee covers product research, sourcing items, purchasing assistance, related travel, unlimited client & vendor communication, styling and final touches.

    Our design fee does not include the cost of materials or contractor & vendor charges.

  • Every project is very unique, just like you! Therefore, after your complimentary consultation, we will provide a custom agreement for our design service outlining your specific project details.

    Our fixed design fee structure is based on your detailed scope of work and is agreed upon before the project begins, so there are no surprises.

  • Many of our clients order and pay for items directly by using links or information that we provide. Other clients prefer to share their credit card information, so we can purchase approved items on their behalf.

  • Our preferred method of payment is Zelle. However, we gladly accept checks, ACH and credit cards as additional payment methods.

  • No, with your permission we will make arrangements to enter your home or business without you needing to be there.

    Simply provide any access or arrival notes (i.e., gate codes, keys, door codes), and we will complete any onsite work without you being present.

  • Yes, refer family, friends and neighbors to Balancing Act and when they complete a project with us, you will receive $100 as a thank you!
