“Peggy’s team designed the kitchen, three bathrooms, fireplace, primary bedroom walk-in closet, family room, flooring, doors, wall texture, paint and all trim. Peggy and Kate worked directly with the contractor on sourcing every product for our home. Our project finished on time because our contractors never waited on materials or a decision related to the design.
During the construction process Peggy and Kate began the process of selecting our furniture, textures, artwork and window treatments. All of these items were delivered and installed on time by quality vendors who have long-standing relationships with Peggy and her team. At the end of the seven month project, Peggy and Kate returned to style our home with pillow, throws, family pictures and art work - they managed our project from beginning to end!
When we began budgeting for our renovation I was concerned about the cost of working with an interior design firm. Now that the project is complete I realize that the discounts Balancing Act receives from vendors more than pays for their services. The overall cost of Peggy's services represented approximately 3% of the total project cost. Peggy saved us thousands on building products, fixtures, textures and finishes. And, we would not have the modern, clean, comfortable design we wanted. I would recommend Peggy to anyone undergoing a complete renovation or just a refresh of their home or business. “My new office space was an empty room with white walls, large windows and hardwood floors. All I knew I wanted was a large L shaped desk. Anything beyond that was above my capabilities. I contacted Peggy, explained what I needed and that I wasn’t quite sure how I envisioned the room. She came over and showed me examples of office space to gain an understanding of what I liked. Next, she prepared a layout with items needed and optional color schemes. We shopped together and she was incredibly patient as we searched for each item.
